I was quite happy with this as a first attempt of a final cover, however a few things needed to be and were addressed. For example the use of blue on 'THE' which was no where else on the page. Also the dating and pricing is too big for the issue, which i have changed the colour of and made smaller in the final cover. The top parts of the coverlines were also changed to red in order to coincide with the main colour on the main image. Also rather than it being slanted like it is here I made it fit alongside the skline in order for it to be readable.
However I do like the main image as it looks very professional and sits right on the magazine cover (sizing) . Also I think that the writing works well as it looks informative and smart rather than shoddy and making th image tacky. I think that the journal part works well and gives it some personalisation to the college, which is always attractive esepcially with something so manufactured as a magazine.
